Welcome to Mr. Murray's
3rd Grade Language Arts Website!
Meet Mr. Murray
My name is Joshua Murray and I teach 3rd grade Language Arts at Miami View Elementary. I am in my ninth year of teaching and fifth year teaching 3rd grade. I graduated from Urbana University in 2008. I have my Master's in Teacher Leadership and Principal’s Licensure through Wright State University. I also received my Reader’s Endorsement through The University of Dayton.
Last May, my wife Sarah and I welcomed our first child, Cora into the world. Over the summer, my family went to Myrtle Beach for vacation. I have many interests which include buying and selling vintage items and antiques, singing and playing guitar at church, and spending time with my amazing family.
I am very excited about being your child’s teacher. I will go over and beyond to make sure that your child gets the best education. My classroom will be a safe and fun environment where each student’s ability is maximized by student achievement and learning.
I hope you are all ready to partake in this great journey with your child. Let them know each day that you’re proud of them because confidence is a key component to learning. Please look out for letters and important papers in your child’s binder. Also weekly emails will be sent to you which will include the weekly tests and homework schedule and other vital information. This will keep you connected with the classroom. If you have any other questions, you can email me at [email protected] or contact me on the website contact form.
